Deo Montesclaros is a photojournalist and Filipino writer based in Manila, Philippines. His work concentrates on human‑rights, environmental, political protest, news, and cultural issues. While covering news and editorial stories, he also uses his lens to capture the religious fervor of the country’s predominantly Catholic population through festivals and cultural events.

He works as a freelance photojournalist for several Germany‑based news and photo agencies and contributes as a writer and photographer to Pinoy Weekly, a nonprofit news magazine that highlights the struggles of marginalized and under‑represented communities.

In 2017, he began serving as a correspondent for the Northern Dispatch Weekly (now Northern Dispatch Online) covering the Cagayan Valley region in Northern Luzon.

He is a member of the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines, National Union of Journalists of the Philippines, Filipino Freelance Journalists’ Guild, and the Photojournalists’ Center of the Philippines.
